Gift Vouchers FAQ

Purchasing Gift Vouchers:

If you want to purchase gift vouchers in our store you must have a customers account. Unfortunately, guests cannot purchase gift vouchers. You can easily create a free customers account by clicking here. After that, the column “Gift Vouchers” is shown to you under categories.

Gift vouchers are purchased just like any other items in our store. There are six values to choose from: 10€, 20€, 30€, 50€, 100€, 200€. If you want to purchase a not listed value, e.g. 80€, just buy two gift vouchers, one for 50€ and one for 30€ in this example. Once purchased, paid and activated the value of the gift voucher(s) will be added to your gift voucher account, which you can find in the shopping cart box.


How to send Gift Vouchers:

To send a gift voucher you need to click on the link “Send Gift Voucher” in your shopping cart. From there you can send the desired amount per e-mail to a recipient. On the “Send Gift Voucher” page you need to specify the following: The name of the person you are sending the Gift Voucher too. The email address of the person you are sending the Gift Voucher too. The amount you want to send (note that you don't have to send the full amount that is in your Gift Voucher Account) and a short message, which will appear in the e-mail. Please ensure that you have entered all of the information correctly, although you will be given the opportunity to change this as much as you want before the email is actually sent.

Note that you don’t have to send the full amount that is in your gift voucher account but you can use some of it for later occasions or for yourself. Furthermore you don’t have to send all your funds to one recipient but that you can also split it to send it to several recipients. Let’s have a step-by-step example for the latter:
Let’s assume you purchased gift vouchers worth 80€. You’ve already paid the amount and we have activated your vouchers. So now funds worth 80€ are shown in your shopping cart. Now you want to send a voucher to two different recipients, each worth 40€. If you click on “Send Gift Voucher” you are taken to the corresponding “Send Gift Voucher” page. Now enter 40€
in “Value of the Voucher” and finish the voucher-sending process. Your first 40€ Gift Voucher has now been sent. Now you click on your shopping cart again where you will notice that you got only 40€ in Funds left. Now this can be sent by you to another recipient in the same way.


Buying with Gift Vouchers:

If you have funds in your Gift Voucher Account, you can use those funds to purchase items in our store. At the checkout stage, an extra box will appear. Ticking this box will apply those funds in your Gift Voucher Account. Please note, you will still have to select another payment method if there is not enough in your Gift Voucher Account to cover the cost of your purchase. If you have more funds in your Gift Voucher Account than the total cost of your purchase the balance will be left in you Gift Voucher Account for the future.


Redeeming Gift Vouchers:

If you receive a Gift Voucher by email it will contain details of who sent you the Gift Voucher, along with possibly a short message from them. The e-mail will also contain a link to redeem the voucher. You will need to login or create an account before you can redeem the Gift Voucher.
Click on the link contained within the email. This will take you to the store's Redeem Voucher page. You will there be requested to create an account or to login, before the Gift Voucher is validated and placed in your Gift Voucher account, ready for you to spend it on whatever you want.
During the checkout process, on the same page that you select a payment method there will be a tick box and button to redeem your Gift Voucher balance against that purchase.

Important information is among others: Your customer ID, your voucher code, error messages by the system and the browser you use.


Additional notes:

Because our Gift Vouchers are sent by e-mail and not by mail, cash on delivery is not a valid payment method when ordering Gift Vouchers.
By the same reason the section “shipping method/ shipping costs” is automatically skipped during the checkout process, if you only have a gift voucher in your shopping cart and nothing else.
Usually merchants and wholesalers can not buy Gift Vouchers.
